Prayer for Marriage

Father, I come before You with my heart open and my spirit submitted. You created marriage, and You called it a covenant. Your Word says in Matthew 19 that what You join together, no one can separate. I stand on that truth today. I bring my marriage, my desire for marriage, my wounds, my fears, and my expectations before You. I refuse to carry this alone.

If my marriage is under attack, I ask You to step into the middle of it. Heal what has been broken. Expose what has been hidden. Restore what has been damaged. Your Word says in Psalm 147 that You heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds. Bind up every wound in me. Bind up every wound in my spouse. Bind up every wound in our home.

I decree that every spirit of division, adultery, confusion, and strife is broken off my marriage. I decree that every ungodly soul tie, every outside influence, and every secret communication that violates covenant is cut off. I decree that the marriage bed is honored and protected according to Hebrews 13. Let purity return. Let honesty return. Let safety return.

If trust has been shattered, rebuild it. If communication has died, resurrect it. If love has grown cold, breathe life into it again. Teach me to love with maturity. Teach me to speak with wisdom. Teach me to forgive with strength. Teach me to stand in covenant, not in pride. Your Word says in Ephesians 5 that marriage reflects Christ and the Church. Let my marriage reflect Your order, Your grace, and Your power.

If I am preparing for marriage or waiting for the spouse You have ordained, I ask You to remove every blockage, every delay, and every counterfeit. Your Word says in Psalm 84 that You withhold no good thing from those who walk uprightly. Remove every fear, every inner vow, every trauma, and every pattern that resists covenant. Prepare my heart. Prepare my character. Prepare my life for the marriage You have written for me.

I decree that every curse of divorce, abandonment, infidelity, and instability in my bloodline is broken. I decree that I will not repeat the patterns I have seen. I decree that my marriage will be built on Christ, strengthened by the Spirit, and protected by the hand of God. I decree that my home will be a place of peace, partnership, and purpose.

Father, cover my marriage. Cover my future. Cover my home. Cover my children. Cover every decision connected to this covenant. Let Your Word be the standard. Let Your presence be the anchor. Let Your wisdom be the guide.

Thank You for healing what I cannot heal. Thank You for restoring what I cannot restore. Thank You for preparing what I cannot see. I trust You with my marriage and with the marriage You have ordained for my life.
