Prayer for Peaceful Sleep

Father, I come before You in the authority of Jesus Christ, asking You to cover my mind, my home, and my night with Your peace. Let every weight that tries to follow me into the night be lifted. Let every anxious thought be silenced. Let every spiritual disturbance be shut down by Your presence. Surround me with Your angels according to Psalm ninety one. Let no evil come near my dwelling and let no spirit cross the threshold of my rest.

Your word says in Psalm chapter four verse eight that I will lie down and sleep in peace because You make me dwell in safety. Your word says in Proverbs chapter three verse twenty four that when I lie down, I will not be afraid and my sleep will be sweet. Your word says in Isaiah chapter twenty six verse three that You keep me in perfect peace when my mind is stayed on You. I stand in these promises now. Let every racing thought settle. Let every internal pressure break. Let every assignment of fear, torment, or unrest lose its power by the authority of Jesus Christ.

I decree that my sleep is protected. I decree that my mind is covered. I decree that my dreams are guarded. I decree that no weapon formed against my rest will prosper. I decree that the peace of God rules over my night and settles my spirit.

Father, let Your presence fill this room. Let Your peace guard my thoughts. Let Your Spirit quiet every place where the enemy has tried to gain access. I rest under Your covering and I wake in Your strength. In Jesus name, amen.
